Dominican Pickled Onions

Onions sauteed in lime juice, oil and salt are amazing!
Course: Side Dish

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Large, red onion
  • 1 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • 2 Limes juiced

Method
 

  1. Peel and slice the onion in rings
  2. Squeeze the lime juice on the onion
  3. Add salt to the onions
  4. drizzle the oil in a frying pan
  5. Once it is is warm, add the onions
  6. Sautee on low until the onions are pink
  7. If the liquid dries up, add water little bits at a time as needed.
  8. Serve over eggs or platanos
